Summer's End

It's been quite a season, and now the weather is starting to change. The fall always feels like the most significant seasonal change to me for some reason, and when the nights start getting chilly I tend to experience a strange mood that is both contented and nostalgic. I am more likely to feel homesick in the fall than any other time.

Life has been interesting lately. I have both too much and too little to blog about. My business is giving me as much work as I can handle, and I am lucky to spend a lot of quality time with both my husband and my horse (and his horse). We tend towards the a-social, but when we choose to hang out with other people, we have fun.

A couple of weekends ago my in-laws came into town and we repainted the porch-step railing and installed a new screen door. The effect on the overall appearance of the front of the house was surprisingly dramatic.

And that's all I've got for now. So exciting, I know. Maybe someday this blog will experience a come-back.

The Old Days

Last night I found my old old old blog, which is still online in spite of the fact I'd more or less forgotten about it. It's funny to read what I was blogging about seven years ago. It's funny to get little glimpses into my daily life. It was all about the print shop for me at that time. The print shop and Flagstaff and going home to Tucson every few weeks. We had Leo then - my favorite of all the horses my parent's have owned. I was just starting my first few paid website jobs. At the beginning of the blog, I had not yet met Brian. By the end we were dating.

Our Trip to the UK

Images from our trip to the UK. We started by walking the Highland Way - 95 miles of trail between Glasgow and Fort William in Scotland. We went from there to Whitley Bay (near Newcastle) for a week with my brother and his bride. Then up to Beadnell (Northumberland) for the wedding. Click any image for more info on any particular shot.
